Hi. I work as a marketer, with a personal focus on technologies. Lately I’ve become interested in Big , and I’ve read multiple reports on how helpful it can be for marketing when it comes to working on targets and personalizing offers.

I have started studying an online course and I’m seeing it relies heavily on maths and probability. The thing is my boss doesn’t want to invest on hiring data analyst (at least, not for now) and my co-workers don’t want to hear about maths (they treat me like a lunatic actually). So my question is, are there any Big Data techniques or tools that we could start implementing without relying on maths? Is this a job that absolutely has to be done by an expert, or can a marketer do some minor tasks?
