Every day, the ProgrammableWeb team is busy, updating its three primary directories for APIs, clients (language-specific libraries or SDKs for consuming or providing APIs), and source code samples. If you have new APIs, clients, or source code examples to add to ProgrammableWeb’s directories, we offer forms (APIs, Clients, Source Code) for submitting them to our API research team. If there’s a listing in one of our directories that you’d like to claim as the owner, please contact us at email@example.com.
Twenty-three APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Cryptocurrency, Animals, and Bots. Highlights are several APIs from Sabre travel agency software and Whitepages Pro APIs for gathering data about phone numbers. Here’s a rundown of the latest additions.
The Cat Facts! API allows users to send a daily cat fact via text message and comes with a countdown clock until the next fact is sent. Developers can use the API to create and view a list of fact recipients. They can also add cat facts of their own. The Catbot auto-replies when recipients text back. Developers can view the conversation between Catbot and their recipients and add new recipients by talking to the Catbot. This API is based on the original Cat Facts API, which is now deprecated, and is listed under the Animals category. See ProgrammableWeb‘s complete list of Animals APIs.
Yoctol Bottender is a bot building platform. The Bottender API simplifies the development of a chatbot system on a different platform by allowing developers to consolidate a variety of methods into a single object such as session or event. This API is listed under the Bots category. See ProgrammableWeb‘s complete list of Bots APIs.
Whitepages Pro provides APIs that return phone, email, people, address, and IP data. The company provides the following APIs for developers’ use in third-party applications.
WhitePages Pro Find Person API identifies, enhances, and updates records from a data attribute. By using a RESTful GET API request, developers receive every record related to a given name. A Find Person request allows to identify a single person and find details including demographics, location, and phones associated with that person.
WhitePages Pro Lead Verify API returns data to know if a lead is a real person and can be contacted. In one query, developers can validate lead data like name, phone, email, and address.
WhitePages Pro Phone Intelligence API returns phone data to help identify fake account sign-ups, inform risk models, and segment and analyze databases.
WhitePages Pro Phone Reputation API blocks and filters spam. It knows in real time when a number is behaving badly across the voice and SMS channels in real-time based on reputation level of 1 – 4. By using a RESTful GET API request, developers receive a reputation level and details including what spam, scams and fraud activities are associated with the phone number.

The Whitepages Pro APIs are located in our directory under the Identity category.
Denoti is a provider of financial data aggregation services and applications that focus on finance and North American bank rates. The Denoti service provides latest updates and notifications of changes to thousands of rates and prices across financial markets. Developers can use the denoti Bitcoin CryptoCurrency API endpoint to access the last recorded value representing the price of Bitcoin cryptocurrency for a given day. This API is listed under the Cryptocurrency category. See ProgrammableWeb‘s complete list of Cryptocurrency APIs.
ServiceRocket is a software adoption company. Use the ServiceRocket Scaffolding API to access the schema of an Atlassian Confluence page’s form and use it to write content to that form. It supports the integration, scaling, and automation of Atlassian Confluence forms. Atlassian Confluence is a corporate team collaboration platform. The RESTful API conveys requests and responses in JSON format, and is listed under the Software-as-a-Service category. See ProgrammableWeb‘s complete list of Software-as-a-Service APIs.
