It has been officially confirmed that the services of the PlayStation 3-exclusive Gran Turismo 6 will be shut down on , 18. That’s not all. The distribution of downloadable content that can be used in the game is being ceased as well. This doesn’t mean that 6 players will no longer be able to play the game in singleplayer mode.

The distribution of downloadable content for the game is going to end on January 31st, 2018. The DLC is going to be usable offline but players must down it before January 31st otherwise they will not be able to get their hands on it. Then on March 28th at :00 UTC, the online services of this PlayStation 3-exclusive title are going to end.

What this means is that players will no longer be able to use online services like Open Lobby, Community, Quick Match, and Seasonal Events. The offline portions of the game will remain unaffected and can still be played after the end period.

Players who deleted their game after purchasing credits from the GT Store should install/redeem the credits again before the end of the online service so that they’re available in-game. It will not be possible to do this after the online services are shut down.

It has also been confirmed that the distribution of the GT6 Track Path Editor app for Android and iOS will also end on March 28th. After that, it won’t be possible to transfer track data created with the app to Gran Turismo 6.
