I have been looking a lot lately into SMACK stack. I know that it is comprised of Spark, Mesos, Akka, Cassandra and Kafka. I have heard that a lot of organizations are moving from Mesos to Kubernetes which replaces the Mesos component. I have installed Kafka to my Kubernetes cluster which works as the data intake pipeline. Also i believe that Kubernetes replaces Akka for scheduling the microservices that work with the data. Has anyone moved their data analytics to Kafka? If so what would the standard stack look like in this configuration? Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
