has partnered with Silicon Valley start up SpendLabs to develop a new to help businesses digitally manage spending.

The ClearSpend app, which allows businesses to see updates and make changes to company instantly, has been rolled out to the entire NatWest Commercial Cards network following a successful pilot last year.

Following the trial, ClearSpend now links directly to the card processor, which enables users to see transactions as they happen real-time balance and credit limit information.

There is also improved functionality for the customer to manage their account, including setting credit limits and merchant category blocking.

Alison Rose, CEO of Commercial and Private Banking at NatWest, says: “Administering a commercial card programme can be ineffective and time consuming, as do not always have access to the up to date information businesses need and are often required to call a help desk to make simple account changes. ClearSpend aims to solve that problem.”
