NEW DELHI: Facebook-owned WhatsApp has now started rolling out PiP for WhatsApp Web users as well. The feature is already available on its app for both and iOS users.

According to WABetaInfo, the Twitter account which tracks changes in the WhatsApp build has reported that the feature will enable WhatsApp users to watch a shared video within the app while chatting with the user simultaneously. WhatsApp users can now watch Instagram or YouTube without exiting the app.

In order use the feature users need to have the version of 0.3.1846 version of WhatsApp Web. The report also added, “WhatsApp was testing this feature also for videos hosted on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Streamable, but it seems they decided to start to enable it for shared videos.”

Earlier this month, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on a Mode feature for its app. The company will roll out the feature on both iOS and Android platforms. WABetaInfo reported that WhatsApp Mode is under development and the users might soon receive this feature via an update.

After the Dark Mode feature, the background of the app will turn black if you are using it at night in order to put less strain on the eyes. The dark mode feature is already present on other apps such as YouTube, Twitter, Google Maps and others.

Talking about the Dark Mode feature in WhatsApp, it is expected that the users will have to manually enable the feature at the time of its use. The company might also add a button using which the Dark mode will automatically gets activated as per the time set by the user.
