Very little is known about the upcoming Redmi 7 series of phones. However, it is confirmed that it would support 4G connectivity and could be powered by 5W/2A or 10W charging support. While there is no official word, Xiaomi is expected to continue with the notch display. Having said that it is quite possible that Xiaomi adopts a new style of notch like the water drop notch for the Redmi 7 series. Also, there is a possibility that the Xiaomi Redmi 7 series could come with a glass back design.
The Xiaomi Redmi 7 will be the successor of the Redmi 6 series. The company had launched the Redmi 6 series of smartphone which included the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro in September. Xiaomi has priced the Redmi 6A at Rs 5,999 (2GB+16GB) and Rs 6,999 (3GB+32GB) while the Redmi 6 is priced at Rs 7,999 (3GB RAM+32GB storage) and Rs 9,499 (3GB RAM + 64GB storage). The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro was launched at Rs 10,999 (3GB RAM + 32GB storage) and Rs 12,999 (4GB RAM + 64GB storage).
Recently, Xiaomi has announced a price cut of of up to Rs 600 for the Redmi 6A smartphones. The company also reduced the price of its flagship Poco F1 along with several variants of Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A2 and Redmi Y2.
